Dedicated to making more housing available to the working people of San Luis Obispo County
Mission Statement
The Workforce Housing Coalition will use public education and advocacy to encourage the creation and retention of more housing units in San Luis Obispo County for households earning less than 160 percent* of the county median income to buy or rent. We will support residential projects that enhance communities and use land effectively.
* Includes very low, low, moderate and workforce income categories.

News & Upcoming Events
On April 2, 2009 the Workforce Housing Coalition voted unanimously to support Habitat for Humanity for San Luis Obispo County's plan to build two homes for very low-income families. The project will be Habitat's first in the City of San Luis Obispo. The San Luis Obispo City Council will consider the project for approval on May 19, 2009. WHC Supports HASLO's MoylanTerrace in San Luis Obispo
The WHC has voted unanimously to support the Moylan Terrace affordable homeownership project to be built in San Luis Obispo. Moylan Terrace is named in honor of the late Geroge Moylan, the first Executive Director of the Housing Authority of San Luis Obispo. The development will have 80 homes. The City Council will consider the project at their March 17, 2009 meeting. For more information on Moylan Terrace contact Housing Authority of the City of San Luis Obispo.
